LGBTQ+ Issues

As a member of the queer community myself, I know the first thing I look for in a therapist is competency with issues related to gender and sexuality. Whether I’m hoping to work on something related to these aspects of identity or not, I need to feel confident that I will be respected and supported when this part of my life comes up.

I have over 15 years of experience working directly with queer and trans folks in a variety of capacities, from advocacy spaces to schools and educational programs.

Since I began my therapy practice in 2021, my clients have overwhelmingly belonged to the LGBTQ+ community. Some of the most common issues I work with folks on include:

  • Exploring gender identity or sexuality

  • Gender transition support

  • Moving from shame to self-acceptance

  • Unpacking and healing from internalized homophobia, biphobia, or transphobia
